Bitfinex, a leading digital asset trading platform, has announced the launch of its peer-to-peer (P2P) platform in Venezuela, Argentina, and Colombia. The new platform, called Bitfinex P2P, will allow users in these countries to directly buy and sell Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Tether (USDt and EURt) tokens. Bitfinex’s expansion into these markets aims to promote financial freedom and inclusion in Latin America.

Support for BTC, ETH, and Tether

Bitfinex P2P will provide customers in Venezuela, Argentina, and Colombia with a reliable and efficient platform for P2P token trading. Users will have access to a variety of digital assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether tokens (USDt and EURt), and Tether Gold (XAUt). The platform will also enable customers to swap digital tokens.

Paolo Ardoino, CTO of Bitfinex, highlighted the importance of offering greater access to innovative financial technologies worldwide. He stated, “We believe in the transformative power of Bitcoin and other digital assets, as well as the importance of providing greater access to innovative financial technologies worldwide.”

With the recent shutdown of leading P2P marketplaces, LocalBitcoins and Paxful, Bitfinex’s entry into the P2P market in Latin America is expected to be well-received by crypto users. Additionally, Bitfinex made an investment in Chilean crypto bank OrionX in May, further expanding its presence in the region.
